Default Is tuition paid in 2008 tax deductible?

Hi,
I have paid $7000 towards my tution fees in 2008. Is this amount tax deductible and if yes then where I should asked for this exemption in 1040nr-ez?
I am on OPT now and working full time.
My total income for 2008 is around $11000 and federal tax held is $2300.
State tax is around 500. How much refund I should expect?

Can anybody guide me on this?
Thanks in advance.

Since you are on OPT, that means you are either a F-1 or J-1 visaholder and are a non-resident alien.

Unfortunately, non-resident aliens CANNOT deduct nor claim a credit for tuition costs on their tax return.

Sorry!
