I googled about the 1040-S form. Is it correct that this form has to get provided and already partially "pre-fill-out" by my host company?

...do I still need fill out this form because I'm now on an H1B (came from a J-1) but stayed the whole time with the same company?

BTW, on https://www.visataxes.com/software/f...e-form8843.htm they say that H1-B holder should not file form 8843. Is this correct (or is it different because I was in the same year on a J1 as well?)?

Default J-1 for MOST of the Year

If you were J-1 for MOST of the year, file the Form 8843.

If you were H-1B ONLY and are filing as a non-resident alien because you have NOT yet met the Substantial Presence Test, then the Form 8843 is not required.
